Hello tricycle! I can’t believe my little isn’t so little anymore. As I said before, I’m boycotting the winter. So far, the weather has agreed with me. So we decided to get Isabella her very first tricycle. After looking into it, we chose the Radio Flyer 4-in-1. Not only has the brand been around for ages but, we’ve owned other Radio Flyer products and we know they’re well built and durable. Our red wagon might be older than I am and Isabella still pulls our dog around in it (tries to, anyway).
Assembly wasn’t difficult but, it wasn’t super quick either. It took about twenty minutes to put together. The instructions are clear and easy to follow so I’d still label it a “DIY” and not a “honey-do” list item.
The great thing about this one, is it’s a four in one. Isabella is set up for the second stage but the first stage has a bar that sits in-between her legs and a little cup-holder that would keep your little snug and comfortable. Also, you can’t see it because she refused to wear it but, there are straps that go around her shoulders to keep her from falling. Once she knows how to pedal all by herself, the handles to push her on the back are easily removable as is the canopy.
Isabella is thrilled with this trike. She held on tightly to the handlebar and every time we turned the lead handles, the handlebars turned and she thought she was doing it all by herself. She felt so cool and she was thrilled to be driving around the neighborhood like a big girl.
