My heart belongs to the ocean. I grew up on the water and I have every intention to raise my daughter the same way. Luckily, she’s just as much of a water baby as I am.
Location is everything when you’re beaching with babies. Fear no more, I have the perfect spot. Right off of 53rd and Collins there’s a huge parking lot, bathrooms, a shady playground, showers, picnic tables, and even some exercise equipment. It gets better. Once you get onto the beach, just south of the entrance, you can rent umbrellas and lounge chairs (umbrella $15, chairs $10 each) for the days you forget your umbrella or the wind keeps taking yours away. For those in need of a little more adventure, you can also rent jet skis.
