Every year I go through the great birthday cycle. I decide not to throw Isabella a party, I feel guilty so I try to plan a birthday vacation (which was successful year two), I say I’ll do one the following year, then finally I give in and start planning a party with only two weeks to spare. This year has been no different. I am currently about knee-deep in party planning, having started just a few days ago. Isabella has picked the theme, the activities, and has made her wish list for presents. If you’re currently wondering what you can get for my almost four-year old, her list is as follows. “A motorcycle with a moon on it and a helmet that is hard and won’t break” and “a CareBear but an alive one.” So if any of you find a bear in the forest, slap a heart on its belly, a bow on it’s back, and send it my way. Other options include “all the animals in the world” and a “really big farm.” I’m pretty sure this is indicative of my future but am holding out hope that it’s not.
While I’m hot gluing my heart out while Kate naps, I feel like I’ve been here before. Oh but I have! Last year! And I never posted it for your viewing pleasure. Procrastination station over here. The following is a depiction of a Carnival put on by this crazy. Thanks to my sister for these photos.
This was a joint birthday for these two sweet girls. They are the loveliest cousins and the best of friends.
The best party punch is as follows: one 2 Liter bottle of Ginger Ale, One Large bottle of Simply Made Blueberry Lemonade, and lemon slices. Boom.
Cupcakes in faces. That’s what tias are for. These girls lucked out with a pretty great one.
Another great: Misha’s smash cakes.
This little piggie went “wee, wee, wee” all the way home. The goats on the other hand, they were accidentally left at our house until 10:30 PM. Don’t worry, they were untied, roamed the yard, rammed the windows, and partied until they couldn’t possibly party anymore. Until next party, my friends. Which is in ten days. And I’m back to procrastinating.
